The Australian DNA Bridge Study

Making genomic medicine accessible for all.

OUR VISION

Advancing genomic medicine to improve chronic disease prevention for all.

Build a research community centered around individuals with multiple genetic ancestries

People with mixed ancestries are often excluded from typical genetic research. Yet such individuals are a growing component of the multi-ethnic Australian population.

Establish a unique biological resource for future research

Our study will generate new genetic data to help us understand the impact of genetic diversity of human characteristics and diseases.

Improve genetic risk prediction and prevention for everyone

Our study will produce new methods to predict who is more genetically susceptible to chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension.

The Human Studies Unit at the University of Queensland is supporting the Australian DNA Bridge study. At HSU, we combine laboratory and computing expertise to generate genomic data, and provide data management solutions, to advance understanding of common complex diseases and benefit those affected by them.
