ABOUT THE STUDY

What is BRIDGE?

This study is for people in Australia whose parents have different ancestry backgrounds. These individuals are an important part of Australia's growing diversity, but they have often been left out of genetic research. The BRIDGE study will establish a community of individuals with mixed ancestries and collect biological samples from them. Using genetic and genomics methods we can progress our understanding of how ancestry may influence human characteristics and diseases. This information may help us create better tools to predict disease risk for people of all backgrounds

  • The BRIDGE study aims to increase representation of individuals of mixed ancestry in genomics and health research.
